Kashmir is considered as Heaven on Earth that is incomplete without astonishing food. Kashmiri food is famous for saffron and their unique spices which take you to exquisite culinary joyride. Apart from mesmerizing scenic beauty you will get a feel of lip smacking delicacies in Kashmir. I straight away headed to Namak @hotel_saharastar to experience authentic food from the kitchen of Kashmir prepared by Chef Quyoom with utmost dedication and passion. Nothing overly cooked. I love the different blend of spices they used.
Located at ground floor this is a fine dine restaurant. Al e carte and set meal options are available to indulge in your choice of dishes. Saffron is the ingredient that used in the dishes to elevate the flavor.
Started with Kashmiri Kahawa Tea which was little sweet, easy to gulp down, almonds at bottom and floral too.
Paneer Zaffrani Tikka - Extremely succulent, melts in mouth Paneer marinated with spices, saffron, yogurt, roasted to the perfection.
Dhingri Stuffed Aloo - potatoes stuffed properly with nuts, fresh fruits, mushrooms and grilled nicely till it becomes golden brown.
Veg Shami Kebab - Made up from Lotus Stream and mashed vegetables. Melts in mouth immediately.
Main course was extremely rich and flavorsome embedded with saffron, spices. Paneer Kaliya was nicely sweet and spicy contrasted with famous Dum Aloo Kashmiri. I loved the gravy of latter. Tangy, sweet and spicy to gulp it down. Specially made up in Kashmiri Masala.
Haaq Saag - even though it's bitter I love that Mustard oil infused with Garlic. Very health dish. Everything taste excellent with Butter Parotha and Butter Kulcha.
Sabz Yakhani Biryani was a blast of Aroma. Middle section contains light gravy infused with spices along with raita.
In desserts I had dry fruit halwa, Firni, Seb ka Halwa, Chamcham and Mysoor Paak.
In mocktail I had Sunrise which was erupted by smoke and taste of cinnamon.
It was a spectacular meal. Service was excellent. I met a Chef Quyoom had amazing experience of travelling and cooking with different brands. Restaurant Manager Mr Ravi ensured there won't be any laps anywhere.
Truly I felt like I am on Star. Kudos to the entire team.
Today visited Namak - Fine Dine in Sahara Star for lunch.. Must say that their hospitality, ambience, food and service is perfect.
Let me start with the welcome drink - A delicious combination of cranberry, orange & pineapple juice & a mocktail - Guava Marry followed with appetizer - Bharwa Aloo followed with main course - Subz Khada Masala with Aloo stuffed kulcha & Garlic Nan and delicious Dal Makhni.
Would definitely recommend this place and would like to visit again🤞
Good ambience, good food and great service. They started witha welcome drink and some snacks/appetizers to munch on while we waited for our food. The appetizers were good and the welcome drink was awesome. The best part was that it was complementary. The dal makhani was great which is rare in Mumbai. The subz khada masala was okay and bharwan aloo was very good. Overall a good experience.
